I guess I understand the points Phil is making, just kind of feel the fight being fought or whatever it is he is doing is not worth the effort anymore. It's been hashed to death and to no avail.

Phil eBay had the opportunity back when Meg came on board to shut down and secure the site and they didn't. Do you honestly think they would now? Transparency is gone forever there and I happen to agree that shill bidding has not been stopped and is even encouraged by it. But all you are doing is educating the very stupid on how to do it better so what is your objective?

YOu aren't helping anything. Unless your objective is to drive off more buyers and sellers for some unknown reason? There are still ways to detect shill bidding and as a long time seller I have even seen buyers on some of my rarer items display those patterns when bidding to scare off other bidders. And this works so I am not particularly pleased to see you running your mouth off all over creation furthering the problem for those of us just trying to survive.

Aren't prices low enough for you yet? I suggest you do like 00 says and check out some of the merchandise you wish to buy on the alts where transparency is still thriving since these sites have the security eBay lacks in their foundation. Shills are much easier to see....of course most of the items offered are BINs, but you can still find some bargains I'm sure.
