The Ming Dynasty in China lasted from 1368 to 1644.

The first Emperor of the Ming Dynasty was Zhu Yuanzhang who adopted the reign name of Hongwu. He could be said to be the first patron of potters as he set up factories to supply porcelain to his Palace. Thus began the golden era of Chinese porcelain. Court influence on the factories aimed at sustaining high standards in all departments. The materials used were pure and refined and much attention was paid to the perfection of forms.

Emperors of the Ming Dynasty:

Jianwen 1399 - 1402

Yongle 1403 - 1424

Xuande 1426 - 1435

Zhengtong 1436 - 1449

Jingtai 1450 - 1456

Tianshun 1457 - 1464

Chenghua 1465 - 1487

Zhengde 1506 - 1521

Jiajing 1522 - 1566

Longqing 1567 - 1572

Wanli 1573 - 1619

Taichang 1620

Tianqi 1621 - 1627

Zhu Qizhen
Reign 7 February 1435 – 1 September 1449 = 14 years 206 days
Predecessor Xuande Emperor
Successor Jingtai Emperor

Emperor of China (2nd reign)
Reign 11 February 1457 – 23 February 1464 = 7 years 12 days)
Predecessor Jingtai Emperor
Successor Chenghua Emperor

He ruled as the Zhengtong Emperor from 1435 to 1449, and as the Tianshun Emperor from 1457 to 1464

His first era name means "Right government" and the second one means "Obedient to Heaven".

He's in the list under the names of his reigns.
