No problem.
FireMeg, I really am curious about something... how many visitors did you had to your sites on december and how many do you have now? And why are you posting links to your sites on romanian blogs? |

I don't know the numbers for December, I don't keep track. I've had a total of 11,000 page impressions on all firemeg related sites since the beginning of November. That includes forum, site and blog. I'm averaging only 2 pages per visit, so...about 1500 visitors or so a month. Not many.
I don't remember specifically posting to a Romanian forum. Sometimes when I'm bored I go over the recent Google News and Blogs for eBay and post things to blogs and news stories that appear there.
btw - how do we know you aren't just an eBay employee posing as Vladuz? You don't seem to be, but if eBay was going to try that, they wouldn't want it to be obvious. After all, eBay Inc.'s companies are frequent visitors to sites like mine and pheebay. |

Vladuz,
Maybe I could ask you this, since you seem to be the residant most knowledgable in getting around undetected.
I was NARU'd at eBay last month. Still don't know why.
OK, so I wanted to get a new ID just so I could do some buying. I downloaded a program called Torpark that runs your internet thru several proxies so eBay wouldn't be able to connect the new ID with my computer. I set-up a new Gmail account just for this ID. I only logged in once or twice to set-up a search for the item I want. All this was done on Tuesday.
Last nite I get a NARU on that ID. Same garbage "abuse of eBay" nonsense reason.
So is Torpark no good as a proxie or what. I don't know how they could have put the 2 accounts together when I haven't even used this new one yet.
I also don't get how some idiot users like the one in Firemegs blog account can keep setting up new accounts without them linking all the old accounts.

Oh come on now, don't let me break up the party.
There were 11 people hanging around - I think that is enough for a party.
Firemeg - want to go first. Who are you anyways other than a slamming name against someone else.
When doc asked for signers to the petition to fire meg, I was not clear exactly who that was for.
And when eb@y wants to go after Microsoft and Yahoo, well I am led to believe that maybe they make up the 45,000 third party employees.
And Adobe is now working on the gif issue for their Apollo software.
And Vladuz..... let's see if you can chat with me here like you do other places. It could be a rather delightful conversation. Are you done checking the profile?
So come on pass me another cup of coffee. |

| I'm not anyone worthy of mention. Anyone who emails me sees my name in the return email. Anyone wanting to dig could probably find out everything about me. Nothing exciting...I'm not a disgruntled former employee of eBay, and I'm not a jilted former lover of Meg Whitman either......oh, oooh, best not to think about such things. |

Carol,
First of all, it's not a good idea to use Tar or any other program that changes your public ip (the one eBay receives) with ebay or paypal. If they see 20 ip's using an ebay account (tar changes ip's very fast) they consider it a suspicious activity and boom.
And did they NARU'd you for false contact information or general abuse of eBay?
Also, make sure you use track eraser (google it)
Or they may have picked your account randomly. They do that sometimes when they're bored. |

The question about traffic got me thinking. So I checked Alexa again today. eBay's traffic is back down around a 2 year low.
Prosperpoint.com however, has seen their traffic go up 30%. Wonder if that increase resulted in any new business? |

My new NARU just has the vague "abuse of eBay" standard email. I didn't bother to send the request for more info because last time it took 12 days for them to reply with absolutely no real info.
I just wanted to keep the new ID seperate from the old ID and IP address. My cable provider doesn't seem to change the IP much if at all, so my computer would always show the same IP to eBay.
I still have no real idea what the first NARU is all about. My posts from a month or so are still all or mostly there, so it doesn't seem to be about the board posts.
I did have a problem buyer that posted false FB about me about a week before the NARU, but she was a NPB so the FB wasn't even counted.
A couple of days before the NARU I had bid on 8 items from the same seller and only won 2 items. I still wonder if some numpty thinks I was shilling those items. But then why won't they actually say that's what the problem is. I could then prove that I've bid on those things and BOUGHT them before. I could send them pics of my printer that they are for.

This thread has gotten boring. I've already drank that large cup of coffee.
Prosperpoint? Isn't that the .com the OP originally stated leaked 1200 names online? Then there was retracted conversation about that?
And that conversation about gif maito problems, better go check the T&S boards quick if interested in the how to.
And I really dislike the copy/paste from one forum to another. Remember- if I write it - I own it. Anything else is a copyright infringement unless I copyleft it, which in this case - not happening.
Same goes for all the posters in this forum. They personally own what they write. Unless they personally give permission to use it specifically somewhere. Not just anywhere. |

Forgot to mention in my other reply, I did use mostly good contact info (My mother's ) in the new ID. The name, address and tele would all have been good. But as I hadn't even had time to buy anything I don't know why anyone would have even looked it up.
