Many of you know that I have been very successful as a writer of spoof stories. I have managed to plant fake news on the BBC, FOX News and the Los Angeles Times among others. My 'stories' are featured in The Onion, on the 'Spoof.com' and of course here on Pheebay.
Unfortunately this time I may have gone too far. To coincide with eBay's quarterly announcement this week I wrote a spoof about the capture of Vladuz. My thinking was that I could jump on the eBay news wagon and get some publicity at the same time...as well as earning a few bucks.
I clearly stated, although admittably in very small print, that my story was a spoof. Unfortunately some people decided to ignore that caveat and repeat my story as factual.
I would like to apologise to all who were led to believe the story was fact based.
I would also like to apologise to Vladuz and hope he sees the funny side of it.
I have removed the Vladuz story to avoid further damage to Vladuz's reputation.

yeah, he's been captured as of 17th this mouth, the police entered his apartment at 6 in the morning, he managed to throw 3 laptops ( he lives at the 5th floor). The police was downstairs taping the "descend". One of the pigs was screeming : "friend, stop throwing'em" this is a sad day in the history of the internet  The only person that managed to point out all the bullshit that ebay is was given a 29 days warrent. Let's hope that someone else will take over and "help" ebay solve all theyr problems |

yeah it's him allright:(, the romanian police has known his identity for over an year now(and i know that for a fact because i've been "invited" to the police more than a year ago and asked if i know him...and i remeber the name still, although i dont know him personally and i never had anithing to do with him). He was captured on the 17th this mouth. He lived at the 5-th floor and as the police was braking in he managed to throu 3 laptops on the window. he was taken to the their...(this word i dont know, every country has it's own institutions) hedquerters, i can give you the address and the roumainian name for that institution) He was questioned for hours and hours and guess what  ) at 11 o clock in the night...a judge gave the ok for a 29 days preventive arrest. i dont know how things work there but here you get a 24 hours arrest before apearing infront a judge( an institution), It seems that that institution was opened at 11 in the night, just for him  His lawyers attacked the court decision but was dismissed. the reasons where that he evaded `capture, and tried to avoid prosecution( i must remind you that romanian police has known his name and address for more that a year, and never made a move...just in mass-media that was the only "move" they made"). I will keep you updated on what's happening.
P.S. if anyone is asking he is a 20 years old kid, bouth his parent are doctors, he onlyu finished 8 classes( it's another educational sistem here, 1-8 it's general schoool, 8-12 is high-school and after that it's the faculty 4, 5, 6 years depending on what you choose) |

Thanks Rogue, we really appreciate the information.
If there are reports in the Romanian newspapers about this a translation of the highlights would be good.
Must admit, a number of folks are very skeptical about it really being him. I favour the "someone was trying to resell V's programs and got stuck with carrying the rap for it all" version 
We'd be interested in a picture as well, if any have appeared or do appear in the future.
If both his parents are doctors does this mean he'll have a decent lawyer?
I would argue that eBay could have excluded him from the site long ago if they had really wanted to and for their own operational reasons chose not to. They have always claimed that scams on the site are absolutely minimal (which we know is a technical point) and they have allowed so many scams to happen on eBay.
For their stockholders they want to keep listing numbers high and "Vladuz" was certainly doing that for them
I think a good lawyer could get him off with a small slap on the wrist  |

romanian hacker acused of ataking ebay's data base atacked in court the arest decission.
18th april 2008
the hacker acused of illegal brakingin ebay's data base was witheld by DIICOT agents ( diicot translates as the institution that attends of ivestigating infractions, organised crime and terrorism), Vlad duiculescu attacked the court deccision regardind his arrest.(the 29 days preventive arrest)
Vlad duiculescu imidiatly took action agains the court deccision, the file is to be discused by the "Curtea de apel bucuresti" (a law institution)
the prosecutors solicited the court a preventive arrest on this hacker name, motivating theyr action by telling he avoided prosecution. and that from theyr knoledge he is planing someting else.(it's not specified what just that they have reasons to belive he is planing other wrong doings)
DIICOT prosecutors witlheld Vlad Duiculescu for 24 hours, whom was searched for almost an year by the FBI for presumpions of illegal accesing ebay's data base on the 17th day of this mouth in an apartment situated on "Drumul ?Taberei" street
Vlad-Constantin Duiculescu was captured due to the work of ..bla bla bla some institutions
Acording to the prosecutors Vlad was investigated since 5th april 2007 for braking the 161/2003 law, accesing without permition a informatoic system, modyfing without concent, restricting access to that sistem, selling or giving away those kind of information regarding how to access that sistem
latelly according to the information provided in the prosecutors material, it is givven that his actions where to gain informations, followed by modification of those informations and restricting access to those informations ( even i dont know what they ment, maybe they are saying that he got thos informatioins, modified them and rescticted access to people that actualy could modify the, maybe they refer to when he used ebay's emplyees passwords and access to post in theyr names and ebay could not for a while delete, modify or take any action against those posts) |

for anyone that is "skeptical about it really being him", dont be ..it's allover the news here, the romanian police is very happy about this thing and never misses an ocasion to apear on the news about this. It's him allright, noone can make sutch a mistake |

| i will ask my lawyer to see if he can get more "facts", i dont know, if this case is public and if anyone can look into this. as far as i know, i dont belive that he had time to get high/expencive lawyers. But money should be no problem for his family. the worst part is this 29 days arrest, witch can "brake" anyone, and conditions are inhuman, you s*it and wash in the same place....there is no sink...just a whole where you crap, and a plastic whose that acts as a shower/sink. i hope noone ends up there...that's no place for someone, maybe some people deserve this treatment( murderers, child molestors...etc) but serving 29 in preventive arest will change any man/woman |

Don't worry about the number of posts. We are all anxious for more information.
I agree that for some people (child molestors etc) jail is the right place and should be bad conditions for them but I certainly don't count Vladuz as one who should deserve this treatment.
You don't want to know what I would do to child molestors - Vlad Tepes would have a good knowledge of the practices  but this Vladuz I would be happy to meet
Is there a way of communicating with him where he is? It might help him to know that people out here are concerned about him and wish him well |

it's only monday, and institutions dont work here during the week-end.and till friday-sunday nothing was sure...just crap over the massmedia, no facts....information is very well praised here:)
P.S. i dont want to start another debate here, but trust me, policemans here(those from prison treat you like shit, no mater what you didi)
i had the bad pleasure of spending about 20 hours in preventive arrest...and it sucks, it's nopt a place to be....you are allowed a few minutes to see the sky per day...and the "recreation room" is a 5x5 meters whole...the walls are also 5 metters high and there is a metal thinggie as a roof...that the only way to see the sky:( |
