I live less than 3 hours from where eBay Live is being held......3 years ago I would have jumped at the chance to go.  Not any more....I'd have been there shouting and that's a person I really don't like to be. I can relate to that guys frustration though.
Speaking of shouting......on my 4th phone call to Pay Pal yesterday I finally lost it and DEMANDED they retrieve a payment for me that a customer was having an impossible time making. An hour and 2 supervisors later I had my payment. I can't tell you how many times I had to remind them that I WAS PAYING THEIR FEES....NOT THE CUSTOMER TRYING JUST TO PAY ME!!!! And that I was entitled here to a little customer service!!! Again....this was not a person I like to be....but apparently it is the only way to have an impact on them.
Arty...nice post by the way in the thread. I just added my post now. Got my dander up I guess.....but talking now just feels so utterly hopeless.   I'm here at pheebay because it is a place I can move forward. I'm really tired of looking backwards. Posts like Avery made make some of us oldtimers long for day gone by again....and make us feel guilty that we didn't try hard enough to get through to the dumb b*s running eBay. Not sure that is a good thing or a bad thing. Kind of feels like tilting at windmills all over again.  |

Wow. I remember him... And so do many others that were suspended back then because of discussions at that time... He walked in to a ticking time bomb...
